Why In The World Would You Want A Photographer At Your Birth?!

It’s very simple. We could ramble on about why birth photography and doula support is important but makes our most compelling argument is to just show you.

Whenever there is a hesitant grandparent in the birth room my goal is to make them feel comfortable about me being there. It takes me about 2 minutes to become best friends because all I have to do is pull up Pittsburgh Born’s Instagram and show them what we capture. It all makes sense then!

Here are some of our favorite reaction shots in the birth space. I wish with all my heart that I could have had these moments captured myself. I am honored that I was able to give these special moments to Kate 2x. That one photo of the moment you meet your baby is worth the investment by itself. Cherish these moments!

We capture births at all the major hospitals in Pittsburgh, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some smaller hospitals are still restricted. We are also welcome at The Midwife Center and home births.
